1.HENRY J. COLE

Henry J. Cole, a son of Henry and Catharine (Yeagle) Kuhl, was

born in Lewis County VA (WV) November 27, 1846 and died there April

24, 1919. He married Sarah Lewis in Lewis County February 21, 1871.

Sarah was born in Lewis County October 23, 1843 and died there

November 6, 1879. His second wife was Sarah Rollyson.

Henry served the Union in the Civil War in Co I, 3rd W.Va.

Cavalry. He allegedly enlisted in the Union Army under the name Cole

about the time that his father was hanged.

Henry's father, Henry Kuhl, was hanged by the Union Army at

Sutton, Braxton County May 9, 1862. They had been convicted of

killing either a "uniformed soldier" or a "Union camp follower",

depending on the source.

Christiana Rebecca Cole, a daughter of Henry J. and Sarah (Lewis)

Cole, was born in Lewis County WV January 25, 1878 and died in

Harrison County WV July 31, 1962. She married William Rivercomb Moss

in Lewis County April 9, 1899. William, a son of Owen C. and Sarah

(Hicks) Moss was born in 1875 and died in Braxton County WV November

12, 1939.

5.JAMES COLE 1.HENRY J. COLE

James Cole, a son of Henry J. and Sarah (Lewis) Cole, was born in

Lewis County WV about 1880. He married Amanda Belknap in Braxton

County WV June 26, 1910. Amanda was born in Braxton County about

1881. After James died, Amanda married A.N. Horner.

6.KENNETH C. COLE 1.HENRY J. COLE

Kenneth C. Cole, a son of Henry J. and Sarah (Rollyson) Cole, was

born in Lewis County WV about 1885. He married Myrtle Cleo Wilson in

Braxton County WV November 20, 1909. Myrtle was born in Braxton

County about 1893.

Children of Kenneth C. and Myrtle Cleo (Wilson) Cole.
