Melvina Petry, a daughter of Mason C. and Malinda Petry, was born in

VA about 1849. She married William G. Sands in Braxton County WV January

21 , 1864. William, a son of Samuel and Edith (Riffle) Sands, was born

in VA in 1837 and died September 24, 1864 in the Confederate prison camp

at Andersonville, GA. He mustered into the Union Army in Co. F 10th

W.Va. Volunteer Infantry in 1862 at Gassaway, VA.

Melvina married George Andrew Westfall in Braxton County September

30, 1865. George, a son of Wilson and Elizabeth (Taylor) Westfall, was

born about 1840.

Elizabeth (Taylor) Westfall, was born in VA in 1841 and died in Braxton

County WV in 1913.

Jacob married Lucy Haymond February 14, 1889. He married Elizabeth

Belknap July 21, 1895.
