1.WILLIAM SCHARTIGER

William Schartiger was born in Hanover, Germany in 1811. He

married Louisa Jacobs. Louisa was born in Hanover in 1815.

William came to America in 1832 and Louisa came in 1935. The

were probably married in Morristown NY about 1838. They moved to

Hardy County VA (WV).

William G. "Billy" Schartiger, a son of William and Louisa

(Jacobs) Schartiger, was born in NY in 1839 and died in Arkansas

October 24, 1914. He married Martha Virginia Bennett, a daughter

of Elijah and Baqrbara (Bible) Bennett.
