2.MARTIN SIMS 1.JOHN SIMS

Martin Sims, a son of John W. and Mary Margaret (West) Sims,

was born June 12, 1815 and died in Roane County WV February 15, 1882.

He married Susanna Waggoner in Lewis County VA March 16, 1837.

Susanna, a daughter of John and Susannah (Richards) Waggoner, was born

in Harrison County VA March 16, 1814.

The family moved to Jackson County VA by 1845. They lived in the

part of Jackson County that became Wirt County VA in 1848.

John Wesley Sims, a son of Martin and Susanna (Waggoner) Sims, was

born in Lewis County VA October 20, 1839. He married Ann E. Pickrill

in Roane County WV December 18, 1867. Ann, a daughter of Levia and

Martha (Rader) Pickrill, was born in Jackson County VA March 11, 1849.

John married Sarah C. Price in Wirt County WV September 25, 1888.

John served the Union in the Civil War, enlisting in Co G 10th

W.Va. Volunteer Infantry in June 1861.

Children of John and Ann E. (Pickrill) Sims.
