County WV March 30, 1917. He married Mary Boggs Ward March 31, 1851.

Mary, a daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Dyer) Ward, was born in

Randolph County August 11, 1830 and died in Gilmer County May 26,

1905.

The family moved to Gilmer County VA (WV) shortly before the Civil

War.
