4.ARCHIBALD WYER   1.ELIZABETH WYER

 

    Archibald Wyer was born in Lewis County VA (WV) about 1828.  He

married Ruhama ------.  Ruhama was born in Lewis County about 1833.

    The family moved from Ritchie County VA (WV) to Gilmer County (WV)after 1850. They are listed in the 1880 Gilmer County WV census. Ruhama died and Archibald married Cindrilla Holbert in Gilmer County August 30, 1883. Archibald and Cindrilla are listed in the household of Newton Holbert, Cindrilla’s son, in the 1910 Gilmer County census. Cindrilla was born in VA about 1834 and was the mother of 10 children, with 8 living.

James C. Wyer, a son of Archibald and Rhuhama Wyer, was born in Ritchie County VA (WV) in September 1851. He married Sarah S. Snider February 7, 1878 in Gilmer County WV. Sarah, a daughter of James and Mahala (Sleeth) Snider, was born in Lewis County VA (WV) January 16, 1853 and died December 25, 1921.

      They are listed in the 1900 Gilmer County WV census. They had been wed 22 years. Sarah was the mother of 9 children, all living.
